@kallewirsch2263 I kind of disagree with you there. I just passed high school, and worked in labouring for my 20's. I didn't know pythagoras from percentages... Then I went back to adult school just before 30yo, and smashed maths out of the water - got in the top percent of the state. Then went on to my degree. It really is just about 'study time' aka 'diligence/persistence/routine' which sorts out the maths nerds from the dummies.

@evinnra2779 I know hard work. I was doing 60 hour weeks in demolition before I became serious about academia. If you have average intelligence, or above, then the only difference between you and a doctor is the amount of study you do. That's it.

That doesn't really prove your point. It'd be like saying: "labs should produce Anthrax and sell it to people online" Of course that would cause more deaths, just like guns.

I work in the M from STEM, but wouldn't call it "hard" work. You just have to be dedicated, and diligent. I'd call be a dish washer harder work tbh, at least physically.
