  1. My favorite boot ever... The Whites Smoke Jumpers I had when I was a BLM Firefighter. They were custom made for my feet. Cost $300 in 1993 dollars. I regularly walked 20 miles a day over rough terrain with a 40 Lbs. pack on my back. I would get another pair, but my current job requires a steel shank and steel toe. The Smoke Jumpers have no steel, to prevent burning your feet in fires.
