I wish there had been a way you could've tested the cooling ability closer to 200 degrees F. I understand that the electric heating element may not get that hot and using a gas burner would have been too difficult to control.

I have used Evans in high performance street cars. The only thing to remember with Evans is that ALL of the water must be removed from a coolant system before it can be used. It's really only recommended for new builds that have never had water in them as it's very difficult to remove all of the water from a system that was previously filled with conventional coolant. According to a conversation I had with them, even a teaspoon of water can severely affect it's performance. One nice thing about Evans is that it can be used in race vehicles where glycol is prohibited.

One thing to remember about the water based coolants. They're 100% water based because they're made for race vehicles that aren't allowed to use any glycol. Glycol is slippery if it leaks on the track. 100% water based coolants are not intended for street use. I use Motul Mocool and distilled water in my race bike with no coolant. Corrosion and freezing really aren't a concern in my race vehicles because I change all of my fluids every race weekend and we don't race in freezing conditions. My only concerns are cooling and wear. The VP Racing is one of those products that performs great as a racing coolant but isn't really something I'd ever use in a street car.
