  1. When it comes to failure modes... It's much better to have a failure of the ratchet mechanism or drive than the handle. The guts are usually easily replaceable, whereas the handles breaking means you need a whole new tool. When it comes to the tool truck brands, it doesn't really matter as they ass have lifetime warranties and the store comes to you. Some of the others might also have a lifetime warranty, but I'm not sure which. I'd suggest you mention the warranty lengths in your hand tool reviews.

  2. I've got a Snap-On flex head. The only problem is the locking flex can't take a lot of torque without stripping. I have a non-flex for when I need to really herk on it.
