  1. Sometimes, you can unbolt the trans mount and raise the trans slightly to get the pan out. Also, the bell housing would have come off easier and by itself if you removed the C-Clip around the input shaft. You skipped that step. There's a ton of videos on "YouTube University" about rebuilding 6L80's. I'll admit that even after 35 years of working on cars, there's stuff I don't know. I'll occasionally watch videos because everything I want to do has been done before by someone else.
