@jovangrbic97 On the 3M Scotch-Brite pads usually red is coarse, blue is fine and grey is ultra fine. On aluminum, I always use a carbide tipped scraper to get most off then use a grey ultra fine. On steel, you can use fine without damaging the metal. I only use coarse on surfaces that I don't mind taking off a little metal. For example, stuff I plan on welding.

@2:00... Just for informational purposes... On this engine, it's not indexed. The VQ engines are. @10:26... I'd replace those coolant hoses while you're back there. Looks like someone use bulk heater hose and some worm gear clamps. That's a recipe for a leak and it looks like one is already starting. Get the OEM preformed hoses and spring clamps. They won't leak for years. @11:00... I'd replace the oil pan now. It's easier to do with the flex plate off. I also usually take this opportunity to replace the pilot bushing.

Sorry, pet peeve and I don't know why it's so common in the auto tech world, but please stop referring to bolts by their head size. Example... Those little bolts aren't 10mm. They're 6mm. I know you're not gonna stop and every tech I work with does the same thing. They all look at me funny when I refer to bolts by their actual size.
