  2. "Delivering value for shareholders". This one phrase has single handedly destroyed the idea of customer service. EVERY business now hires the cheapest labor, rather than the best labor. I bought 8 spark plugs and when I opened them, they were all used. I don't mean a little dirty, I mean these had at least 100k miles on them. Someone bought the plugs, swapped the new for their old and then returned them. The kids these stores hire are either too stupid or too lazy to open the boxes and make sure the item being returned is in the box. You don't blame the "reputable" chain store, but I do. They choose to hire unskilled labor at minimum wage.
