  1. I was a Firefighter for the BLM here in the States back in the 90's. Wish I could go, but had a kidney transplant in '08. Fighting wildfires is addictive. When the adrenaline starts flowing, you almost forget about the danger. I miss it.

  3. Seems the answer might be visibly armed security at the doors. I'd think seeing that the guard is armed might be enough to make the thieves choose somewhere else to try their luck. Might take a few dead thieves to get the point across. The cost would be less than the losses. I don't think the retailers really care. They just pass the losses on to the consumer through increased prices. They don't pay, we do.
