@3:35... Union concessions don't work unless the workers see the executives also taking pay cuts. When you ask your workers to sacrifice, it creates morale issues in the workplace that dramatically affects productivity. A worker that loves their job produces far more than one who begrudgingly goes to work every morning and only does the bare minimum. Asking workers to take pay cuts or not get raises is often a corporations first choice to save money. It's usually a bad idea... Unless the workers see the executives also taking pay cuts. They they feel "we're all in this together". Yellow could have saved itself by rebranding Roadway and USF trucks as Yellow and laying off the redundant executives. How many millions could've been saved by just eliminating redundant executives?
