  1. When I tried to join the USAF, I was told I couldn't fly fighters due to wearing glasses. I could, however, fly bombers. I asked if that included the B1 and was told yes. I set my sights on flying the B1. I ended up being medically disqualified at MEPS. It's how I found out my kidneys were failing. 30 years later, I've had one kidney transplant and am waiting on another.
