  1. It's a decent enough car, but for about the same money, I'd rather a Panther based car. The first gen was much more popular because it was the first "jellybean" car. It was a new design language that nobody else had. Because of the Taurus, the next generation Camry got rounder. My step-mother had one of the very first Tauruses sold in Massachusetts. It was an LX with every option. I loved it.
