  1. The PT Cruiser GT is a nice platform to start with. It's just a few bolt-on's away from SRT4 power. For about a grand (and some labor), you can have a convertible 300 hp car. Sounds like that particular car's got a bad turbo. Common failure, easy fix, great opportunity to upgrade the turbo. The only early '00's SUV I'd own over the Escalade is the Trailblazer SS. In fact, I had an '06 TBSS (until someone stole it). I would never drive a Prius of that age, but I'd totally drive a CT2000h. The best difference is the gauges. The CT200h has them where they're supposed to be, in front of the driver.
