The 5.6 is bullet proof. Watch the manifolds (cracks), engine mounts, pinion and axle seals, heater control valve, leak from the thermostat housing, interior plastics and HVAC actuators. Nissan Master Tech for 4 years.

@bobdylan6773 Found the Hobit!

@robertmisiuk7137 Yep. We used to charge about $3k at the dealer for the job. That was 10 years ago. Cheaper to buy Doug Thorley headers and aftermarket cats like Magnaflows. Never put cheap aftermarket cats on a Nissan. You'll get a 420 or 430 code. Nissans don't like them.

@KiyaWarrior Less than a dozen known issues is not "hundreds".

@c-nasty2061 That's not a common failure. In 4 years as a Master Tech, I never saw that.

@jaredschmid6397 Heater control valve, thermostat, or air in the heater core.

Looks like it has the Nismo (or some other brand), finned diff cover. Check engine light is probably the manifolds. I think I heard them when you started it.

@c-nasty2061 You talking about frozen door locks in cold climates? I'll admit I never had to do one of those, but I'm in Vegas, where if it drops below 32, people panic and act like the world's ending.

@jerrykearns6344 Lots of those things aren't common. The trans milkshake was a 4.0L truck issue, not the Titan.
2
@HowlinMaddWolf I don't get why that's funny. Have you had one fail?
1
@dalejerkins5235 Never had that issue on the Titans. That's to 4.0L trucks. Pathfinder, Xterra and Frontier.
1
@tyroneplayaz Too many things can cause stalling. Start with vacuum leaks.

@tyroneplayaz Take it to a shop. Too many possibilities to even start diagnosing over the internet.
1
@Aldant432 Not the Titan. That was the Murano.
1
@jonc2914 I didn't say the Titan is bulletproof, I said the 5.6 is. In 4 years at Nissan, I saw ONE 5.6 get replaced. That's it. I've seen several with over 400k miles.
1
@phillipfelts6687 The radiator issue was only on the 4.0L V6 trucks, not the Titan. If it happened to you, it was a fluke, not a common issue.

@BabaBlackWolf3213 Could be the A/C head unit.
