Have y'all seen the movie "American Crime" about the young teen back in the 60s who was tortured to death by the family her parents left her with when they had to work elsewhere (kids too) as well as her sister and boyfriend and neighbors. True story, forget the girls name. When she was discovered (dead) and the authorities and journalists came, they asked everyone why they did it, they all said, well everyone was doing it.

  3. 💔 I've seen those lists of available "affordable" housing and was shocked to find that the majority rented for more than "non-affordable" rentals. A social worker friend told me that actually, renters all paid the same rent, but the "affordable" or low income units were subsidized by the govt so the owners were paid much more for renting those units to ppl who couldn't pay hundreds of dollars more. This made no sense bc if you have sufficient income to pay say $500/ month, you wouldn't need to get a govt subsidized apt for wh the govt may have to pay another $700/month for you to live there in the same complex as ppl not subsidized!

  7. Don't shoot at ppl carrying guns.😮 She is the person I feel so badly for bc she wasn't doing anything wrong. But the police ought to have to say they are the police for everybody's safety. This will stop when black ppl in black neighborhoods stop tolerating the crime that goes on there. Kick the criminals out and take back your home. (Yeah, I know it's wishful thinking.😢)

  8. It's not like there was anything else to do w him. If there's nobody at home where are you going to put him? I agree that all nut jobs should be in institutions and all criminals should be put in prison or otherwise eliminated from society altogether but that's not the way America operates so you have to create other solutions and, unfortunately, those solutions cause other ppl to suffer and die.

  12. It's highway robbery. A waitress skills are not worth $30/ hr. Our waitresses are mad that they no longer are expected to get extra money in tips now that their wages are so high. They say they made more than that over the yr w their little salary & tips. But customers should not be expected to support someone who just picks up a ready dish of food and walks it to the table. If anyone should be tipped it is the cooks, who are very poorly paid, who make the food.

  13. We are experiencing the same problems. It's life. It happens. If you have enough to not be homeless, you are lucky. If you are homeless in Hawaii, you are way luckier than if you are homeless in Minnesota. Sometimes it is more productive to count your blessings than mourn your losses, especially when you can't do anything about your situation and even more so when you realize that many others are not only in the same boat, but in a much more leaky part of it. God Bless US, Every One.
