Sometimes, older ppl are stuck w well meaning ppl but ppl who believe they know best. If you aren't at least a PhD in geriatrics, be assured you aren't even close to knowing what's best. Some ppl are control freaks, have hidden agendas, or are lazy and looking out for their own welfare. Never assume responsibility over someone's life wo asking what they want and doing your best to help them get it, just as you should at any other time in life.
