  4. In the US a film made in Britain or a film made in a Commonwealth country w British actors or actors speaking British English is still a foreign film in America as far as I know. Maybe things have changed or there's a difference of opinion among commenters here. I've only been watching them (in their native languages) for 60 yrs, so what do I know? There are so many great films. I've never been able to tolerate dubbed films bc of the awful job they did on the Godzilla films we watched as little kids.😁

  8. Bertolucci thought he was the perfect actor for "1900." Playing opposite a young Depardieu, Sutherland, and top French actress, Dominique Sonda, de Niro showed he could hold his own w some of the best in the business across the Atlantic as well as at home.
