@valorwarrior7628 I was wondering how the Xuanfeng catapults might have played into it. I think they were much more mobile than any comparable Roman catapult and I would think they could have been effective against heavy infantry formations.

@SepulchureValen I'm sure the Romans would adapt against anything they came across. I see no reason though to assume that the Chinese wouldn't adapt as well.

@kek6969-w9y You do realize that the Mongol armies of Batu Khan wiped out the combined armies of Europe at the Battle of Liegnitz in 1241, right?

@valorwarrior7628 One thing I noticed in the video is that the Roman empire was centered on the Mediterranean and Black Seas and most of the empire was close to open water which suggests that supplies could be moved quickly throughout the empire. The Chinese empire appeared to be much more land based with most of their famous battles taking place deep in the continental interior. I wonder if this skews our view of logistics being that the Huanghe River is great for agriculture but questionable for navigation.
