@beniaminosani2719 We in The United States regularly overestimate the amount of people that we think agree with us. We listen to the relatively well-off (middle and upper—professional—classes), including the expat community, and assume that they speak for the majority. It's not that these people aren't important, but they have much more bark than bite. In most countries the working class, in some cases the underclass, is much larger and the military is much more powerful, and they're usually not friendly towards their bourgeois countrymen. These groups can be overpowered, like in Iraq or Libya, but the results are still terribly messy and rarely lead to the healthy liberal democracies that Americans and like-minded allies think they're helping to create.

I think Maduro's support among "the common man" is definitely on the decline. But that is his base and he's certainly more popular in that demographic than he is with the doctors and lawyers.

Yeah, you might be right. Maduro's support may be close to nothing among the people at this point. I'm just not sure who to trust with that assessment. From what I understand he still has the support of the military and that's not inconsequential. I'm not an advocate of Maduro though I don't like Guaido much either. I know Venezuela has suffered under Maduro's mismanagement but I don't think the current approach is a good solution. I hope the best for the Venezuelan people but I think the rest of the world is just trying to aggravate the misery in hopes that somehow a good pro-western regime will emerge from the inevitable chaos. At this point it's just sad. I have a hard time seeing a light at the end of the tunnel here.

@BlazeXkilla That's kind of my point. I don't really know what to believe. I'm not a fox viewer (I do have some standards) but I'm not sure any other media outlets are reliable either in this regard.
