  1. ​ @bngr_bngr  I'm always skeptical that demonstrators accurately represent "the people", but they always represent some people. I know there are Iraqis that don't approve of too much Iranian influence, but I wonder how that compares to how many don't approve of American influence. I don't know the nature of the contractors that were hit nor do I know who they were hit by. I know the American embassy was not breached. Assuming that all of this was ordered by Iran, which I think is a hugely irresponsible assumption, I still think taking out this general is a crazy escalation. If we wanted to maintain any goodwill in either Iraq or Iran, this was a terrible move.
