  5.  @dom_toredo  Can you point me to this, because I haven't seen any video of maltreatment or brainwashing (though I'd expect some brainwashing as every country in the world engages in it). I've seen no evidence of organ harvesting since it was made illegal in 2015. The Uighurs that I've seen interviewed claim that their labor is voluntary and fairly well compensated. I haven't seen them comment on whether or not they can quit but that's because it didn't really come up. I'm interested in seeing what evidence is out there, but the evidence prevented by Adrien Zenz is very weak. Testimony by Uighurs in self-imposed exile may be honest but it's definitely agenda-driven and so their truthfulness cannot be assumed. World Uighur Congress evidence is also agenda driven, and especially when considering their NED funding one must view their claims with skepticism. Organ harvesting is the old Falun Gong trope and I've never seen anyone else accuse China of organ harvesting in Xinjiang. There may be human rights abuses in Xinjiang. In fact there probably are incidences of human rights abuses just like there are in prisons around the world. A few incidences does not necessarily indicate a sanctioned effort to harm, much less destroy, a people. I don't have evidence of the absence of government sanctioned abuse, and there is a possibility that it is occurring, but I've not seen any good evidence that it is. I think that it is becoming more and more obvious that a genocide in Xinjiang is unlikely as the vast majority of Uighurs are clearly permitted to lead normal lives. There appears to be heavy profiling of Uighurs regarding anti-terrorist concerns as well as a heightened security presence. While this is something to be concerned about, it falls well short of ethnic cleansing.
