  1.  @Helena_McNeal  Disney has always written it's female characters according to the standards of the day. I get annoyed at people who criticize the lack of girl power displayed by Snow White. The movie's a classic and had it been written with an aggressive heroine at its core it would have failed at the box office and there wouldn't be a Disney today. I love the new movies too but you have to appreciate the old films in their terms.

  4.  @nopushbutton  I love Disney in general, but that's one of the few where I read the book first, and it's painful to watch. Same for Hercules.
