  2. As a teacher of older student 11-19 , we were informed that studies showed that up until KS4 black children achieved on a par with others but then failed to keep up. As a biologist I wondered whether there is an organic reason and came across a study about vitamin D deficiency during pregnancy and how the behaviour and learning difficulties may arise if the mother is deficient. We are in the NORTHERN hemisphere and have white skin for a reason.

  3. Our French teacher set vocabulary tests every week. If you got 1 wrong you wrote the corrections in French and English translation 10 times each. 2 wrong..20 times each...3 wrong 30 times etc etc....my French vocab is still excellent...
