I used to live down the road from Peckham and our local hindu shopkeeper regularly tried to swindle any customers and squeezed the hand of young girls when giving change. I saw a suited indian man undoing cellophane packs of cigarettes in the boot of his Mercedes and stuffing them into a duffle bag and then taking them into the shop....to be sold illegally I expect thus depriving the exchequer of tax revenue....

@JohnHughes2002 yes. He used to give my husband a little plastic pot of some sort of sweet for a festival every year and there was an elephant motif label on the lid. And his wife sometimes wore a sari and a red dot on her forehead.
