  1. We solved it. When the bell goes the students have 5 minutes to get to class when the 'late' bell then goes. If they are not in class and it's their first or second failure in 6 weeks they are let in and time is recorded. After 2 failures they are refused entry. It works but the students are 16+ and mostly black. In secondary schools i worked in they reported to the office if late to get a slip. Repeat offenders got detentions to catch up work missed. ONE problem is that students are allowed to attend ANY school and they use public transport...

  2. I'm polychronic...I get in 45 minutes early work for half the lunch break and leave about half hour beyond the end of the day. It I'd great because when my kids were at school I had to be monochronic. (I'd say they're just chronically lazy and rude)
