  1. My mum was very superstitious about getting decorations down because the first year that they didn't come down by the 6th January her sister died. One year on the night of the 5th and my dad hadn't removed them she went around and ripped everything down -tree and garlands everywhere on the carpet.

  2. As usual the judge is right. If you want to do the whole shebang start early. In the UK it's usually 1st November...some people buy everything in the January sales....
