We test drove the 2022 NX hybrid and my wife loves it. She has a 08 RX350 now with 155K miles and will be given to my son as his first car. She wanted to downsize a little as well, the new RX seems a little bigger than what she is used to.

We are looking at the RX and NX hybrid too. It can take regular fuel, but premium fuel is recommended. Both are same engine and same hybrid system. RX should get 35MPG, NX should get 30MPG.

Yes that’s what AMD recommends. 1st oil change at 1K and 5K after that. Exactly what I did on my wife’s 08RX and my 17 ES350 before I even know this channel. Now my wife’s RX350 has 155K miles and still runs like a champ. Needless to say my ES runs like the day I bought it at 35K miles.

@YellowRoseDrones yep, most new Toyota and Lexus 4s uses 0-16w now. My 2017 ES350 takes 0-20w. First oil change at 1K miles and now every 5K miles or 6 months after that. The Highlander hybrid is solid, just make sure you clean or replace the hybrid air filter once a year or so.

I would get the RX400H if I were to look at the last generation. Save fuel and very efficient SUV. The V6 gets thirsty. 08 RX350 and 17 ES350 family here.

Test drove one. It is not as smooth or as powerful as my wife RX350 V6 or my ES350 V6, but sure is gas saving. We are in the Bay Area here and not much hills here though.

That’s why we looked at the RX and NX Hybrid only. We bought the NX hybrid and saved $13K. We don’t need to size anymore since our kids are driving age now.

We test drove both NN hybrid with 18 and 20 inch wheels. Like the 18 better, quieter and less bumpy, but the 20 looks better for sure.

@naveenthemachine yep. My wife’s 08 RX350 has 155K miles on her and still runs/shifts like a dream. My 2017 ES350 runs like the day I bought it at 35K miles. BTW, looking at the new NX hybrid now to replace her RX soon.

Wow, my wife is still driving her 08 RX350, you guys must lease cars. We are looking to buy the new RX hybrid or NX hybrid soon.
1
Yeah that why we are looking at the both the RX and NX hybrid version instead. The 350 maybe faster but I just don’t like turbocharged engines.
1
@unrecovery we bought a NX350h already. It is fast enough for my wife. Myself driving a 2017 ES350 V6 it obviously feel slower.

That’s why we are looking at the hybrid version instead, it may not be fast, but at least it is efficient.
