@frankie3591 87 for the 2020, same as my 2017 ES350. Great car, mine is 5 year old 31K miles and not a single issue.

Yep, I will never ever buy a car with air suspension. Too many issues down the road and too expensive to replace those shocks. Not worth it at all.

@Kauffman578 yep. For around $50K, I think the ES35” is a bargain. I currently drives a 2017 ES350, just hit 31K mikes this month. It is quiet, roomy and luxury enough, but sure ain’t fun to drive like to RWD LS.

@angusp5515 and yep. My sister had a 2018 GS350 F sport. It is a great car, reliable and handles well. I would take the GS over a 5 series or E class any day of the week.

Beats walking 😊

Yeah my co worker had a 2008 460L and had a lot of issues. He sold it and bought a 2021 ES350 and loves it.

I would recommend an 2020 ES350 instead. Looks like a 3/4 LS500 and not as complicated as the LS, meaning easier to fix.

@angusp5515 yep I couldn’t refuse that deal. Before I bought the ES I had a 2009 Avalon Touring which was running perfectly fine at 150K miles and I sold it at $9K to a co-worker. Anyway, as the saying goes, you can find the best deal when you don’t need it. I didn’t NEED the ES, the Avalon could’ve gone another 100K miles I believe.

Yeah those LS430 was the last gen V8 pure luxury LS you could buy, until Lexus screw around with being more sportiness.
1
@angusp5515 sure. Actually It is base on the Avalon. Some people do like to softer quieter ride, more luxurious interior and don’t mind paying a measly $10K more. I was one of them, in 2017 I decided to buy the ES instead of the Avalon.

@21Piloteer Sure, if the $35-40K price difference makes no difference financially, I would go with the LS as well. We have to compare new vs new though. It is not fair to compare a 4 year old LS500 vs a brand new ES350.

@angusp5515 yep back in the days there were deals everywhere. In August 2017 I bought my brand new base ES350 at $32K + tax fee, total out the door was $35200, Lexus were given out $3K cash back or 0% finance. I bought the ES at $2K under invoice AND $3K cash back as I was paying cash anyway. Now used and new car markets are just nuts, I just called a few Lexus dealerships here on a new Lexus NX350H for my wife and all of them wants minimum $2K markup and we are not even talking about cars ready on the lot, we are talking about 3-6 months wait time.

@21Piloteer alright, I am cool with that. If you find that perfect LS430, hang on to it. They don’t make the like that anymore.

Nah. Just this particular model. All those air suspension shocks and electronic brakes. The rest of the cheaper Lexus lineup are still very reliable. Say a ES350 or a RX350.
