  1. Clear brush around all power lines across the entire island? Where do they even do such a thing? The water wasn’t shut off more just wasn’t given due to strict water regulations that have existed in Maui long before the fire. The alarms in Maui are used to worn people of a tsunami, they didn’t want people to flee towards the spread of the fire.

  2. ⁠@@BarnabeJones-dp6phyes no alarm would be better than an alarm that made people run into heavy brush to bring alive. People aren’t that stupid? Not only is this not true it’s irrelevant. If people didn’t know fires were spreading extremely quickly and the alarm was sounded what do you think they would do for an alarm that is sounded generally for tsunamis?
