It’s to do with how useless the trait for fur would have been. By the time humans started migrating out of Africa we already had clothing and mastered fire. No need for fur when you have fire and clothing also haveing fur and sweating would have been a really bad combination especially in cold climates.

Right they are human cousins.

That dude died over 150 years ago it doesn’t matter what he said he died before the discovery of DNA vestigial traits the vast majority of fossils and before any studies where conducted on his idea.

Genetics confirms that humans are related to all other apes and therefor share and ancestor with all other apes.

A scientific theory is the highest level and explanation can reach in science. Evolution is a repeatedly demonstrated fact there is no need to watch every single genetic change that ever occurred to know it’s true. There is evidence that every living thing evolved from other animals. All species of horse including zebras evolved from the same ancestor. Hippos and rhinos share and ancestor, hippos and whales share a recent ancestor. Dogs evolved from wolves, birds evolved from non avians dinosaurs. Ants and wasps share an ant like ancestor. All animals evolve. Evolution doesn’t say only humans evolved is says all living things evolve. No other animal has evolved to be like humans because being human like is not a goal, the only thing evolution does is make you fit to survive, there are plenty of ways to survive without intelligence or even a brain. I’d rather be treated like an animals that has evolved from other species of apes because it’s the truth.

As far as I know there is no advantage to different eye color, therefor it must have been sexually selected. So mutations leading to new eye colors where favored enough to spread into the population, similar to how birds or other animals use their pigmentation to attract mates.

She literally never said that and she even showed a map explaining visually what she was talking about. The lightest Africans generally get without mixing is brown. The point thought is that skin color is not specific to a continent. There where native Americans as light as Europeans there are south East Asians as dark as Nigerians.

Because current monkeys are not old world monkeys. Modern monkeys have also evolved from old world monkeys. They just didn’t physically change much but genetically they changed every time reproduction accrued.
1
@ViveLaIsrael we do indeed have the same dna, you share the majority of your genome with monkeys there is no arguing against it this proves relation. The only way to think this doesn’t prove relation is by claiming that share dna doesn’t prove relation
1
@ViveLaIsrael not the exact same no but you share most of your genome with other animals. Not sure what you are talking about because studies shows all humans are related and all humans are related to other life meaning we share dna with each other and other species, not a single study has ever showed the opposite.
1
@ViveLaIsrael I have not contradicted myself once, I think you may just have trouble reading. You share dna with other species this proves common decent.

Yeah and the earth is flat and the moon is made of cheese.

@MichaelSacerdotus no you are preaching racist mythology. The Bible is a book of myths ham was not a real person nor was Noah. Geology, genetics, paleontology, history and archeology all disagree with the flood and genetics alone proves your idea about how dark skin came about wrong. Genetics don’t change because of “curses” they change because of mutations and if a mutations spread then it any definition good.
1
This is false, skin color is decided by dna and dna changes everyone reproduction occurs. Therefor it’s entirely possible to have a child that is dark skinned from 2 light skinned parents.
1
1. Modern white skin is caused by multiple genes. The last inherited gene for light skin did come from a single person in the Middle East but this was just one out of several gene variations contributing to skin color. 2. No Africans are not identical to the first homo sapians, or even the first modern humans. There is always some amount of genetic drift because mutations occur by the dozens in humans every time reproduction does.
1
@Spacesandra not even sure what you are trying to say in your first paragraph. As for your second paragraph l, lacking Neanderthal Dna is irrelevant. Mutations occur every time reproduction does. Each human including you on average have 60 mutations. So no modern Africans are not identical genetically to ancient Africans this is genetically impossible. This is why purity in biology doesn’t make any sense, if the first Africans where “pure” then how are modern Africans “pure” when they posses millions of mutations that the first Homo sapiens do not? Human is a genus by the way which Neanderthals are apart of. They are by definition a superset species of human. Links cannot be posted without them being removed so your comment was removed, just go to Google scholar and read about genetic drift. Both homo Sapiens and Neanderthals came from the same African populations 800,000 years ago somewhere in Africa so which population is pure? This type of reasoning doesn’t make any sense genetically.

@Spacesandra great and none of this discredits what I said. Science denial will get you no where.

@Spacesandra “Genetic drift (allelic drift or the Wright effect)[1] is the change in the frequency of an existing gene variant (allele) in a population due to random chance.[2] Genetic drift may cause gene variants to disappear completely and thereby reduce genetic variation.[3] It can also cause initially rare alleles to become much more frequent and even fixed.” Straight from the wiki. This is from the journal of nature “Human mutation rate revealed” “Every time human DNA is passed from one generation to the next it accumulates 100–200 new mutations, according to a DNA-sequencing analysis of the Y chromosome.” Feel free to post a source that claims modern Africans are the exception to all life on earth and that they don’t evolve.

@Spacesandra Mutations: Driver Versus Passenger Scott W. Piraino, ... Simon J. Furney, in Encyclopedia of Cancer (Third Edition), 2019 There are literally tens of thousands of papers on this, as I said before your ideas of genetic purity are unfounded and aren’t grounded in biology.
1
@Spacesandra if you could perhaps refute the claims I supported with actual research on this post don’t hesitate to try. As I have already demonstrated you are wrong modern Africans are genetically different than the first Homo sapiens.
