  15. Social indicators are not due to industrialisation. This is more about social reforms. Periyar did a great job. EMS Nambudri Pad and that bunch was something else. Land reforms in Kerala are unparalleled. Guru Nanak Dev is the reason why Punjab is socially far ahead of Haryana while Haryana has a much higher per capita GDP than Punjab. But the greatest reformer of all time Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's hard work was partially neutralised by the enforcers of Manusmriti from Nagpur.

  32. I have some friends and relatives living in a few parts of the great Continent who can't stop talking about the rich culture. We don't share that prejudice that some have. One of my friends tells me that Ethiopian cuisine is closest to ours and that Mesir Wat and atakilt wat resemble Sambar and poriyal, alternatively Dal and Sabzi and that Injera is a bit like multi grain Dosa. She says these food items are totally Vegan.

He bases his apprehension that majority will stay quiet on the fact that the victims of Bulli Bai are Muslims. But his apprehension is unfounded. Hindus are already raising the issue. The government which has taken swift action here is quite much Hindu.
