I just now unsubscribed because of that. I know that seems like an overreaction, but there are certain things people can do which give me an insight into how they think as people. Ivermectin is one of them. To try and paint that narrative when it is so demonstrably ridiculous is something I would not be able to shake whenever I watch the video by this guy. It would always be in the back of my mind. I'm down to listen to anybody's opinion, but when people mock extremely easily verifiable fact, like how the drug has been administered over 1 billion times to humans and is considered extremely safe, makes me so frustrated and I lose all respect for that person. Maybe that says a lot about me too, but after months of gaslighting about a drug that at the very worst has almost no side effects, I'm very sensitive to the subject.

@greenatom I agree with you agreeing with me.

The Ivermectin comment made me unsubscribe. I know that after this, a comment as ignorant as would stay on my mind as I watched these videos. I can handle basically anybody's opinion because I'm politically homeless. What I can't handle is when people peddle mainstream absolute demonstrable fucking nonsense because it fits the narrative they've been told. I use it as a proxy for how much I respect someone. Ivermectin, whether or not it's overly useful for covid, is on the WHO's list of essential medicines and has been administered to humans over a BILLION times. It has next to no side effects so even if it doesn't help with their covid, it doesn't do the people harm. To push that dewormer narrative makes me lose the respect I had for you. Yes some idiots have gone to the pet store and did something dumb with a version of ivermectin, but that's not what you are implying. FFS how people can keep laughing it off as an animal drug when it won the 2015 NOBEL PRIZE for it's use on humans just makes me sad. Bye.

Ivermectin won the Nobel Prize for medicine in 2015 for it's use in humans and is on the WHO's list of essential medicines. Google it. It's also a drug with very little side effects so even if it doesn't help, it certainly doesn't harm when it's taken as directed by a doctor. There is also a mountain of evidence that it does help, but to exactly what degree is still unknown. Explain to me why that reference was "most appropriate", and please do not use cliches or insults. I want to hear exactly why you think his line was worthy of praise.

@slow_momo Yes, my comment made it clear that's exactly why I'm mad, and I explained exactly why. It was very deliberately done to push a disingenuous narrative: that it's a horse drug. That's like saying oats are horse food. Both are used for both, in massive quantities. I'm so sick and tired of people pushing agendas. What ever happened to objective logic and reason? They don't give a shit who you vote for. And how does the number of words used matter? If I said "Emily disembowels children", I can't say "yeah but I only used 3 words so why are you so angry?"

@slow_momo It's not at all a weird battle to be fighting. It's about censorship and gaslighting about one of the biggest medical issues of our lifetime. I feel that's totally worthy of fighting.
