  1. My brain has such a hard time imagining "smallest". If it's something, then how can you not cut it in half? I remember first thinking about this when I was about 4 while watching an ant walk. I thought about how tiny it was and then thought about an ant half the size, or that ant cut in half. Then cut it in half. Then cut it in half. I'm very doubtful we've gotten to the bottom of "smallest".

  2.  @paradiselost9946  I did say perceive and observe. I didn't say see. Of course I'm being pedantic because if I'm referring to what's behind me, I'm definitely referring to sight, but you're being pedantic as well so I will point out that both perceive and observe are not limited to the visual realm. Observation just means you sensed it. So does perceive.

  3.  @neodonkey  the concept of consciousness is so far out of my realm of competency that I don’t really spend any time worrying about it. It’s like how the paradox of space being infinite in all directions doesn’t really bug me because I know my stupid little human brain is too dumb to understand it.

  4. When I was in high school, I read a book on the holographic theory of the universe. Super interesting stuff. Part of it was that the universe doesn't really exist until you observe it. What's behind you isn't actually there because you can't see it. It comes in to being as you observe it. This was back in 1994 and at the time it blew my mind to contemplate. I wrote a whole bunch of notes on Post-it notes in the book but I took them out to lend the book to my girlfriend, and then I lost the notes and she lost the book. I would kill to see what questions my 18 year old self had about it. @BruceWayne15325

  5. Abut 30 years ago I read a book about the holographic theory of the universe. Same concept. The universe doesn't exist until you perceive it. What's behind you.....isn't, until it's observed.

  7. This might be the best science video I've ever seen, and believe me I've seen my share. Some things clicked in this video I've never been able to fully grasp before. I can't accept what's until I understand the why's and this video snapped some into place and I'm so grateful for that.
