That's crazy. You found yourself an angel for sure. Glad it worked out for you!

Men will often light up when you tell them about your feelings because it's like "What?! You too? Yeah, I totally get it because........." They are so thankful they aren't alone in the universe.

@asiberiantiger188 what's amazing is how many women think men enjoy "the chase". This isn't the Serengeti. We're not supposed to prove our fitness by physically chasing you. And it's amazing how many women will be frustrated that a guy won't ask them out. How about you give him an indication?

The hate they have says a lot about them, and zero about you. It's a good thing. It's a way to figure out who to avoid.

@Elijah-NUMetal-IsMyWife-Boyd IDGAF if the woman thinks i'm a creep for simply asking her out. If she does, then at least it helped definitively weed her out. Her opinion would no longer matter to me.

Glad you're still here!

@RorschachRev I don't know a thing about you other than you didn't do it and I'm glad you didn't do it. Stay strong.

Halfway through your comment I looked up to see if I had written it, as I sometimes see something I resonate with and see I was the person who wrote it ages ago, haha. Now if you'd be so kind as to get out of my head I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Your manager was actively punishing workplace comradery? That says a lot about the manager. They must be miserable.

@jordanpavlic9745 nailed it. Women (and men) can smell desperation, and it is a major turn off. Women want a man with confidence. Being aloof will get you WAY further then hovering over them.

Nah you're in the perfect position. If it goes badly it's just meeting your expectations. If it's even halfway decent then it's a giant win!

Places where people are truly free to say what they want will often troll and say awful things simply because they can do it nowhere else. I've never been on 4chan but I get the jist. Most of those types of sites are actually quite supportive once someone honestly bares their soul. @glazedicedmoon

@adrian0o0 yes, I think you are right. I misinterpreted the original comment. The manager being besties with some people under them and not others can absolutely potentially create friction.

I'm close to a woman who seems to have misery as her comfort zone. As soon as things get good she retreats from what is good and dwells on what's bad. She once admitted to me that she's "afraid of things working out". Fear of happiness is tragic. Ihope you can find a way to love all that is good in your life. @RorschachRev

I've known both sides of your equation and I'm so happy you found someone. I hope the same for everyone.

@jordanpavlic9745 that's awesome you got rid of the desperation and found someone. I remember when I started speaking my mind more. I thought it woudl turn girls off. It did not.

@blairrobert3438 "In person is always better than online. " Of course in person is better, but if you're situation has you nowhere near where eligible girls are, then you're kinda forced to go online. I work 60hrs a week in a male dominated industry. Good luck meeting a girl IRL if you have my life. If I was younger and in school or in an industry with lots of women I'd be just fine. Picking up women was never a problem for me. I'm just literally never around women outside the grocery store. Not the best odds.
