That's the problem. When you get rid of a terrible leader you often create a power vacuum and sometimes the cure is worse than the disease.

@d.e.b.b5788 This is a video about a truck that doesn't exist and you bring up politics? Also, Forbes has Trump as a billionaire with legal holdings worth as much. Not sure what you are getting at. He's got giant, working, real buildings you can walk inside that have his name on them. They exist.

Even if it turns out good in the end, there will be severe consequences involved in the growing pains. I'm not thrilled about it but if it's the next big thing I'm way better off learning to use it to my advantage than to fight it and get left behind.

@zacharytracy3797 You only get rid of the corruption if you have a viable plan for once they are replaced. Another strongman or strongfamily is never the answer.

Construction is relatively safe. Good luck having AI and robots do a renovation for you. There's too much unique problem solving involved. AI and bots can probably make inroads in some parts of new construction, but there will certainly be a big need for humans for awhile yet.

5:53 Critical thinking will be more valued? I don't find it to be of much value at all these days. In fact it's a detriment in many ways. Hopefully this trend will reverse.

@rebeccamartin2399 What's funny is I'm Canadian but I can't stand the direction we are headed and I'm fully open to retiring in another country, and Sri Lanka was near the top of my list. I've been there and it's incredible. Hopefully things calm down long before I have to make that decision. Hopefully Canada restores it's sanity in the meantime.

@zacharytracy3797 I don't know of the power vacuum effect really applies to western democracies because all of the leaders are almost exactly the same. Left/Right makes very little difference. At least they get voted in in the west as opposed to it being some strong man who takes over.

In 2021 $, Woz was paid $468/day to make the game. Jobs keeps getting slammed for this deal. I'd like to know more about it because on the surface, this is how business operates. How much YOU get should be irrelevant. If Woz agreed to take the pay that was offered, why is it a scam? I've heard Jobs lied about how much he was getting, but how is that different from my own landlord saying she won't buy a new kitchen faucet because "No money, can't buy. No money" even though she clearly can? I'd like to know the details before I pass judgement.

@FHL-Devils Best I can find is he hasn't even been tried yet. Where did you see "2 years and keep your assets"?

@FHL-Devils I guess I took your comment not as a prediction of how these things typically play out, but as an indictment of something that already happened. Thanks for the clarification.

@rightwingsafetysquad9872 A robot is a ways off yet when it comes to hanging cabinets because walls are imperfect. There is so much problem solving that goes on in construction. Fields where things are very formulaic are ripe for automation. Construction, and especially renovations, are finicky. One place where robots can make inroads is in factory assembled pre-built homes. That's assembly line shit and ripe for the picking.

I like the footage of the downtown Vancouver skatepark at 0:30
