@timurgri "So you recommend us to feel empathy and compassion for him?" Yes. What he endured as a child and what he did because of it are related, but still independent things. If you can't feel empathy for someone who had a rough go, then what does that say about you? I saw a TED talk once about a guy who planned to shoot up a school because he was in so much pain, but then ONE person was kind to him and it turned his whole life around and he's now married with a kid and gives talks about it. Sometimes compassion is the greatest weapon against tragedy.

Were his economic policies sustainable though? He was in power for such a brief period before WWII. The lasting economic implications of socialism can take many years to emerge.

That "coup" was performed by a bunch of unarmed people. If it was a coup, they would've brought guns cuz lord knows they own 'em. It's disingenuous to call it an attempted coup. Of course it wasn't. It was mostly a big fuckin party like most of the people in the BLM riots. Once the heavily armed right wingers actually shoot one of the millions they own, THEN you'll have my attention.
