If the flat Earthers would do even a tiny dive, they would see videos like this one. Every single company would've had to have every single engineer and employee on board with the conspiracy. Some of these companies were mega corporations, and there were thousands of components. Not to mention the fact that Russia would've squealed immediately if they even remotely suspected it was fake. You don't even have to analyze any science to understand that obviously we went to the moon..

We aren't paid by the government. Supposed to, but I'ms till waiting on my transfer. They better hurry up before the tin foil sale goes away at Walmart.

The Mythbusters did a really good episode where they test a bunch of the conspiracy theories. Really interesting stuff.

@allangibson8494 if they could land in the exact same spot I wonder if they could pick up the old cameras and start using them.
1
Yeah it is. America hasn't gone in many decades, and the Russians never bothered. Doesn't sound like the moon had that much to offer. I'm sure it does for things of idle scientific curiosity but not anything strategic.

Were these two together on the summit? If so, Hillary could've set the camera and handed it to the other person to press the button. What am I missing about this story?
1
Was it all good news? This tech can equally be used for the most insidious warfare imaginable and I guarantee the DOD is looking into it. I'll bet my whole life savings they are looking at ways to use this to hurt people.

@IllIllIlIIlIllIllI They built brick walls for free?

I was hoping he would mention that as well because that's the only thing I ever heard about the cameras as well, that the biggest challenge was to protect them from radiation.
1
@anthonymorris5084 Yeah but wouldn't the radiation heat up their anal probes?

@elvisischrist I know of 2 who are ardent, legit flat earthers. One guy I used to work with, and another guy who runs a plant nursery. It's bonkers.

10:05 63% believe at least one political conspiracy theory? Then 37% of people are fucking idiots because tings like the second fake Gulf of Tonkin incident which got America into Vietnam exist and are public record. Is everything a conspiracy? Of course not, but to deny that even one exists is just stupid. Things like the Enron scandal also were conspiracies. They conspired to convince everyone that there was genuinely an energy shortage. Government coups all over the world are literally born of people conspiring to overthrow the government. There are countless examples so it's just as stupid to say there are no conspiracies as it is to say they are all real.

AI "won't" do anything without an order. For now...

It's really funny because I had the exact opposite conclusion. I believe there is 0% chance that the ability to see items as small as a few centimetres from space will not be Weaponized and used for tyrannical purposes and it will be almost impossible to stop one set in motion.
1
@TheEvilmooseofdoom if another country goes there, they wouldn't care about American preservation. NASA abandoned the cameras so it becomes like finding any artifact. Finders keepers.

it's like the promise of virtual reality in the 90's. We had nowhere near the tech for it, and only do today because of the cell phone industry.
