You've hit the scary nail on the head. Today's young ones will know no different. It's the only thing they've ever known, unless they have parents that teach them how to think objectively. They've grown up with rules for everything, and that disobeying isn't an option. I went with my nephew to the local public pool and they have a climbing wall over water. I tried to climb next to my nephew and was told I had to stagger over with a full panel between us. Not a covid rule, but a safety rule. I had to stay a good 7' from him. Over water. I questioned the rule since I wasn't ever below the kid, only beside him, just not a full body length away and the kid lifeguard looked at me like "But...but it's a RULE!". Kids are absolutely programmed to know that there's a rule for absolutely everything and they don't need to think. Their teachers, the government, or guards or signage will tell them what to do. Now try telling these kids that they should question the government and media and big tech because they are often dishonest. They look at you like you need a tinfoil hat. This will not end well.

@Zorro9129 Ever met the homeschooled kids? Usually academically high achievers, but socially awkward AF and if I've learned anything in this world, it's that life is a team sport and you need to be properly societally socialized if you want to live a happy, successful life. Don't dismiss all the other parts of learning at school that go beyond test scores.

@Zorro9129 I'm not sure I agree with your conclusion, but both of us simply have an opinion about it. It's not a fact-based discussion so fair enough. Maybe you are right. I'm just happy that I gave an opinion and someone gave a rebuttal that was coherent and respectful. The world needs more of that.

TBH I wish that were more true. I stopped binging Triggernometry because it's mostly just beating the same drum. I'm fully on board with their message and I hate SJW's and cancel culture and censorship with the fire of a thousand suns, but most interviews are just the same argument from a slightly different angle, almost to the point of redundancy. I'd like to see more people who have different views but are capable of sitting down for an honest, respectful conversation. These days those people are increasingly hard to find, but I'd like to see them try.

@theotheo7241 You watched a 13 minute video which did not address Trump's views nor actions on covid (other than tightening the borders) and your entire paragraph is about Trump? Dude's been out of office for a year now. He's gone, get over it. Let it go. I think people with Trump Derangement Syndrome are like little boys who throw rocks at girls they have a crush on. Nobody gets that fixated with another person without something deeper going on. Just sayin.

@theotheo7241 Yes Trump talks out of both sides of his mouth and it doesn't help anything. I don't think his personal views have much to do with people's reasons though. I mean that if Trump never existed, people would still have all the ammunition they need to be distrustful of the system because whether or not the vaccines are a miracle or a pile of garbage, people have been fed enough double talk and lies from all around that I'm not surprised at all that there are so many people who are hesitant. Again, this was a 13 minute video full of examples. If didn't need Trump.
