I love you lads, but I'm not sure I'm on board with this one. Comedians are not at all obviously playing characters in most instances, and that should be besides the point anyway. You should either have the freedom to say things people don't want to hear, or you shouldn't. Trying to parse it out like it comes down to whether or not the comedian is serious, joking, or playing a character is splitting hairs and almost impossible to ever prove. Plus, I don't think you're gonna win anybody over by insulting them. The mind reader comment was absolutely a direct insult and I don't think it helps further your cause.
