It's weird that a guy that loves to push buttons and see things differently can simultaneously be so insulated and naïve as to how the world works. He is all for "the machine" and woke Ness, which again is really weird for someone with his type of comedy

I was a sponsored skateboarder for many years when I was younger and kids would always tell me I'm so lucky because I had brand new everything all the time but then they'd see me walking with a cane after ankle surgeries, and I asked them how lucky they think I am now. I didn't get that stuff for no reason. I destroyed my body for it the kids don't see that part of it. They only see you with the photo in the magazine, but they don't realize what you went through to get it, and that you could barely walk for the next few days, because of the sacrifices you made.

  4. No, they just aren't stupid. They are still in the comedy world, and they are still trying to grow their channel and they absolutely are not in a place where they can start hard-core, battling really big names, and if they did, it would probably hurt them because people wouldn't want to come on the show anymore. It makes way more sense to just let people have some sunshine so they can dig their own graves. Leave it up to the audience to decide.

  5. That's because this channel is centrist, which is about the only place you're going to get anything that even approaches objectivity. There's so little of this out there it's frightening. I'm completely politically homeless, and I definitely feel like I don't have many places to turn to for information.

  6. I make six figures in Canada and there's absolutely not a hope in hell I could ever afford a house in the city I live in. Not even in the ballpark. I'm in construction and the superintendent is responsible for $100 million jobs. He makes the day to day decisions, and he's ultimately responsible for the entire building in every capacity, and his salary also doesn't even come close to being able afford a single family bungalow built in the 1970s. It's a joke.

  11.  @tomcapping2136  they aren’t parallels for a few reasons. Polio was absolutely devastating to everybody who got it. You’ve never heard of a mild case of polio. And the polio vaccine was an actual vaccine, and there was already a track record. The mRNA vaccines are technically gene therapy. They’re not actually vaccines, and they were a novel technology that had never been used before so to mandate a literally experimental medical intervention for young people who were more likely to die from peanuts than Covid makes them very different cases indeed. there were also plenty of red flags like the absolute lie, that they were “safe and effective“ because those terms have specific definitions. They could not possibly have known it was safe because they were brand new, and not enough time had passed to be able to understand possible long-term ramifications. That’s how linear time works. A traditional vaccine can still pose problems, but the background of them is extremely well understood and they had been used many times before polio, so this wasn’t venturing forth into uncharted territory. I can go on and on, but my final point would be the lack of uptake for booster shots. Most people realized that unless you were compromised by being fat sick or old, the vaccines weren’t really helpful so they didn’t bother. Polio? Indisputable track record. Very different things.

  13. I live in Vancouver and boy has it sure changed. It's unbelievably expensive. It's $2500 easy for a one bedroom. It's nuts.I just worked for a year and the worst part of the downtown Eastside and it's incredible to see what the leftist policies have done

  14. Very very few people will acknowledge the role luck played. Joe Rogan is actually a great example of someone who is humble enough to admit it. He talks all the time about how unbelievably lucky his whole career has been. Gotta respect that.

  18. The world is full of people who have far more than the average person could ever dream of yet they pound the table all the time for far left socialist type causes. I don't see any of these people paying more taxes than they absolutely legally have to. Man it must be nice to be able to be so removed from reality. How these people can't see what ridiculous hypocrites they are is beyond me
