Yaron started this clip very badly. He seemed much better by the end although he's coming across as full out ideologue by saying things like there's literally nothing good whatsoever about HItler or Stalin or whatever. Everybody does some good and has some good ideas. To say "____ said it so therefore it's not worth listening to" is ideology 101 and fundamentally no different from the people he hates so much.

@nelus7276 Low IQ people can be the best employees. I deal with them quite often in menial labour positions in construction. People who have a low IQ, know that they do. They also know that they get looked down on by most of the rest of society. I feel my job when I have to directed them is to make sure that they understand that the boring cleaning up that they are doing is literally essential. The job could not get done without that task of being done. I make sure they feel like their contribution matters, because it does. Make a person feel good about themselves and they'll go through a wall for you. It's an absolute win-win. It sucks so much that people will crap all over someone who's not very bright, simply because they are not very bright. It's not their fault, and such an awful thing to do to make them hurt because of it.

That's a really interesting point. It's the old "follow the money" deal. Find me a persons incentives, and I will likely predict their responses. It's so pervasive that I'm inclined to believe that it is nature. Mankind has been doing that since the earliest days.

@peteone111 Yes I would. Why not? I'll listen to anybody's perspective so I can understand it better. You literaly don't want to know why Nazi's thought like they did? You have no interest in finding out why the KKK thought like they did? You and I are different. I always, always, always want to learn where people are coming from, especially on the extremes.

Also, if I learned about them and you didn't, then I would know more than you about them. I would be more educated about them. Nobody makes me roll my eyes more than people who go to protests but can't answer basic questions about the thing they're protesting.

@proudatheist2042 I won't lie, just this morning I had to orient a new worker who is dumber than a bag of hammers and I don't suffer fools gladly and I have to remind myself they aren't being a fool. It's frustrating and I have to consciously tell myself not to do a deep sigh or make any gestures that let them know I'm getting irritated at how dumb they are because all I'm doing is hurting someone for no reason. Getting openly frustrated with them will not help the process go any faster, and lots of them get flustered pretty easily when somebody makes it clear they aren't intelligent and I feel so bad for them when it happens because it's absolutely not their fault. All I care about is that somebody tries their best and is friendly. All this is to say I am certain no saint, but I do try very hard to be as understanding as I can because I can't imagine what it would feel like having that weight on your shoulders, knowing that almost everybody around you is smarter than you and so many are looking down on you. Makes me thankful to have my frustrated, but perfectly capable brain. I'll never understand how somebody can work with people who are far worse off cognitively than these ones are, every day. God bless you cause I certainly couldn't do it. I have a ton of respect for what you do.
