RFK Jr is by far the best candidate for POTUS. It's not even close. I don't agree with him on all his policies but I know a good man when I see one. He's also humble enough to admit when he's wrong, like he was about the border crisis. He went there and got educated and changed his mind. I think he's the real deal.

"can't name EXACTLY what it is about Trump that they object to!" I have this problem all the time with people. In Canada we have Justin Trudeau and I can't stand him and I keep an actual list, a long list, a very specific things he has done, policy wise, that break my brain. I wanna make sure that when somebody asks me what I don't like, I can counter with substance because there's nothing worse than when somebody doesn't like someone just because "they are a big jerk face".

Babylon Bee's channel has really good cartoons about this.

The statement was a statement of opinion to even if the student decided that it was still bigoted, but they came to it honestly through their own conclusions, then, fair enough. I don’t care what someone’s conclusion is in any matter of opinion, so long as they come to it honestly.

@ScottCleve33 I disagree. The original Colbert show was hilarious. It was witty and charming and funny. And Jimmy Kimmel used to host The Man Show. That show was funny as hell. both of them start out awesome. Along the way, they sold their souls to The System.

You should've heard him during covid. He was BRUTAL. Now that he's proven wrong he's all "We were going with the facts we had at the time". Wrong. We were pounding the table but he just didn't want to hear it until it was unavoidable. He comes around but it takes him a long time.

Don’t hold your breath. She knows how to play the game. Very strategic woman. She will be around for a long, long time.

As a guy who just moved from Sask, it’s fucked that the premier fully admits that the restrictions were about public sentiment and not safety or science. I’m very happy he’s making a decision but I still want him to explain why they were there in the first place.

If Trump was in office and Hamas held Americans all he would have to do is get on TV, look directly in the camera and say “You have 48 hrs to release those hostages or else”.
4
That's like how I once had a meeting with a guy from an investment firm wanting me to invest in a startup. He looked me dead in the eye and in all seriousness leaned in and said "My philosophy is to buy low, and sell high". Gee, thanks tips.

Almost all people who are very wealthy, are clueless about it. It's understandable. If you've had no contact with some thing for 30 years, you're not really gonna be able to understand it on a visceral level.
4
The soft bigotry of low expectations.
4
BC still requires an injection for a staff? Yeah, it's insane. That people were denied EI even though ungodly numbers of people got the CERB illegally and nothing is coming of it.
4
Vivek Vs RFK Jr is what the election should be in America. Two actual good, decent people with different views running for president.
4
What the boy said has gone viral, but I'd like to hear what his parents think about this.
4
What's funny is I guarantee they see formal education as a 1:1 with overall intelligence, as if a degree in linguistics means you understand foreign policy better.
4
@larion2336 They censored Graham Hancock? For what? Did he offend some ancient civilization? Good grief cancel/censor culture is gross.

100%. I'm in Vancouver which is SF lite, and I work in the worst part of town (Hastings St) and things don't get reported all the damn time simply because we know the cops will come and do nothing. Sometimes they literally don't come at all. A guy tried to stab a security guard and then spray pepper spray into his little shack to flush him out. When that didn't work the guy tried to kick the door in. They called the cops who said "That sounds like someone with mental health issues. There's not much we can do. The guard asked if they could come by anyway just to take the statement. They never showed up.

How else can the war machine feed?

I'm so jealous. I'm Canadian and I'd leave here in a second if I was able to. It's surprisingly hard for Canadians to move to America.
4
@TrekBeatTK The Babylon Bee needs SNL's budget.
4
@tamarleahh.2150 The moderates of any religion are usually pretty good people.
4
I think everyone accuses everyone they don't like of being a grifter. I'm not buying it. I think these people have drunk their own Kool-Aid and are so deep inside their bubbles that they believe what they are saying. You can't come up with words salads like that off the cuff if you are purposely putting on a con.
4
@GhostSal People are capable of justifying damn near anything that helps them.
4
That’s literally no different than saying you would only hire students from there. That’s what interviews are for. Denying somebody specifically because they graduated from Harvard or somewhere is just as ideologically driven and insane.
4
@douglasjones2570 the comment was about white guilt and colonial guilt etc. How white people are expected to give reparations or atone for things that happened 100 years before they were born.
4
What's interesting is that what you wrote goes both ways. I could easily see your exact comment being used by someone who is very enthusiastic about the vaccine.

Kids can't even use a tanning bed FFS.

@killazilla44 "Jobless is the biggest factor of homelessness you don't need to be a genius to figure that one out since money is the key factor." Vancouver's homeless problem has gone from a "traditional" few small blocks on the east side of downtown to an overwhelming spread in that area that's many, many times bigger than it was 20 years ago. The main street downtown, Granville, used to be vibrant and now every night it's filled with homeless people chillin in front in little encampments all over. Right now in Vancouver, as has been the case for years now, stores give poor service because they can't find workers. Stores are desperate for people to fill vacancies. When the Canadian gov't was giving out checks to people during Covid, there were places offering good money and nobody wanted to go. It is not a lack of jobs. At least not here where I live. There are nothing but jobs to be had here. They aren't 6 figure jobs but for damn sure there's full time employment for anyone who wants it. I'd say it's a good parallel because Vancouver is a sister city to SF. They are as close as two cities can get and have roughly the same feel. Vancouver is also very progressive, and also has growing homeless problem so if jobs are certainly not the problem here, then I question if they are for SF.

Yeah, out of touch that people aren't down for someone spreading a message of measured positivity. How everyone can be shitting on him is beyond me. This was the first interview of a politician in ages that hasn't pissed me off. I'm pro weed (well I hate the stuff personally but I get why legalization is fine) and I'm not religeous but overall this guy gave me a great impression. I guess people want sound bites and outrageous promises. That's how you ended with the last two tire fires in your election. You get what you deserve.
4
Him refusing to answer questions during question period, with that smug look of his, should be banned. You should be forced to answer questions. Anybody who sees this type of behaviour and still supports it is lacking integrity.
4
@lm3049 In Canada the PM does a daily briefing that take ages. Not a goddman thing gets said, and the majority of the questions come from the publicly funded media, so of course they are going to lob absolute softballs every time. It's so gross.

Don't confuse seeing though some liberal idiocy with being conservative. Russell is politically homeless, as is Joe Rogan.

@gregg6398 Sadly no, Pepsi is not any different at all. They own Frito-Lay which owns Doritos and they said, regarding BLM "There's never been a community that needs a megaphone more than now". Really? Nobody has ever needed a voice more than black people in 2021? They also announced a 7 figure donation to the cause. You can't avoid it man. Boycotts are basically impossible since almost all major corps do it and they own friggin everything. I stopped my personal boycotts for this reason. It's like trying to stop a waterslide with a beach towel.
3
@terivandekuilen5378 How exactly is a long running successful late night talk show host on a major network a nobody? That's just ridiculous.
3
It's not all involuntary. 99% of people think there should be a military, and roads and schools. It's just the amounts, and how they're spent that are up for debate. Tax itself is pretty much universally agreed upon as a good thing.
3
Everyone wants to paint these MSM people as being grifters. Phoney. They aren't. They believe the ends justify the means. They really do. He avoided addressing any of what the kid said because he thinks any ground ceded to the other side is morally wrong. It's so gross. How Brian has been paid millions is beyond me. What's his appeal? How is he better and more appealing to viewers than anybody off the street? He has zero charisma.
3
Are you telling me that every time someone has an opinion you agree with talks about something that you check up on, then judge them based on their academic credentials? I doubt it. It goes both ways, DG. That doesn't make you a "bigot", but it does kinda make you hypocritically closed minded. I don't mean that in a harsh way at all, I'm sure you're a good person, I'm just trying to make you aware of your own biases before calling others out on theirs.
3
You shouldn't love it, it should make you sad. If you "love" it, it's because all you care about is your team, and that your team wins over her team. How about wishing that everybody pulls their heads out of their asses and makes good choices?
3
Where do you live? Not wearing them was not an option where I am in Canada unless I ordered literally everything I may need to purchase online because every single store was required by law to make you wear one. You would also need to be able to work from home or be independently wealthy.
3
Its too bad nobody challenged her at all on all of these clear lies.
3
I desperately hope the polls are right lately.
3
Everyone is bias. Nutritional information is an absolute shitshow because everybody thinks THEY have the answer, completely disregarding the evidence of people who eat totally differently yet live long healthy lives. The human body is insanely adaptable and they vary greatly. I guess it's up to each to find what works best for themselves as individuals.
3
People need to be directly impacted by something. Soon as it comes around to them they suddenly get it. It's sad that it has to come to that.
3
Yes, but RFK has class. He doesn't want to turn it into standup comedy like Trump. He gets the same message across but like a gentleman.
3
Bingo. The right mostly just sort of rolls their eyes at the left whereas the left really does seem to think the right is made up of inherently bad ideas.
3
Haha, best comment yet.
3
Do "they/them" count as more than one person each, since they are referred to in plural?
3
Canada got it's independence by asking. America used guns. Just saying.
3
The Vietnam war was justified by the same reasoning. Everybody is a threat. In the case of Vietnam, it was the domino effect. But the domino effect theory is ridiculous because it should work in reverse as well. And America lost that war and communism didn't take over. We need to stay out of this conflict. Terrorists and Israel should not concern America whatsoever. Only get involved if armies try to invade and take over Israel, We need an ally in the region because oil..
