  2. But in Queen Elizabeth's case, it's actually the opposite. She presided over a monarchy that voluntarily gave the colonies their independence. That deserves nothing but praise. She should not be condemned for the sins of her forefathers anymore than you are I should. Education is good but apologies aren't. There is zero chance I would ever apologize for anything I didn't personally do.

  13. FFS the queen oversaw the transition AWAY from the colonialism. The people angriest about slavery and colonialism etc should be the ones trumpeting the queen and the UK the hardest because they are the ones that ended slavery and they voluntarily gave up their territories. Do you think the Romans did that? The Mongols? The ignorance of these people is breathtaking.
