The rape thing is insane. Even rapists aren't OK with rape. I can't imagine there is a rapist out there who would not be bothered at all if their Mom or daughter or sister or grandmother that they liked got raped. They just chose to do the thing that they fundamentally don't like, for their own situation and their own reasons. With the exception of somebody who is absolutely literally insane, I guarantee that if you hooked up a polygraph to rapists and ask them if rape was OK, the results would show "no". What's even stupider, is that I said "for their own situation and their own reasons" and I had that knee jerk reaction of "oh, that is something that could definitely be taken out of context and twisted so maybe I should word it differently". Fuck. That. That is a hill I will die on. Changing my language, even though I'm not actually saying anything wrong, to please the outrage mob is a line I just can't cross.
