Interesting question. That guy Harari from the WEF explicitly stated in an interview that he was culturally raised to believe the Jews were superior. The sad part is that these days you can’t even ask questions that are rational and reasonable without people attacking you. Now couple a feeling of superiority with the solidarity and cachet of victimhood mentality, and you have a powerful combination. I’m not at all saying that’s what’s going on here because I know next to nothing about Israel or Jews, but it’s a question that jumps out at me that’s for sure.

For the record, JP himself is totally fine with trans people and he knows it's a real thing. He just didn't want to be compelled by law to call them anything, just as he'd object to being compelled by law to say anything.

Jordan didn’t seem like he was taking sides at all. He was looking at it very objectively and I think that’s fantastic. That’s what an interviewer should do. He should let the interviewee speak on their own terms without interruption. It should be up to the listener to decide if they liked it or not.

I’ve never really formed clear thoughts on what I think about inheritance in general. About birth rights. I’ve always found them quite bizarre. I find it interesting that Benjamin thinks that it is a matter of course that the Jews should have a homeland. I find it interesting that he thinks that they should have it simply because they were there a long time ago. That sounds like an emotional argument masked as a rational one.

@harrymills2770 I honestly do feel for the ones who just kept their heads down. They personally weren’t doing any harm, and I don’t think I can judge somebody for not wanting to throw their entire career away because some idiots have captured your profession. All they would be doing is losing their career while not helping anything. Of course, if doctors did that by the thousands, it would make a difference, but are you going to risk that? Risk years and years of hard work and expense just to flush it down the toilet for a protest that didn’t help anything? I don’t think it’s right to demand somebody else make that sacrifice.

@cleverusername1894 "In reality, Canada is doing quite well." You clearly don't live in a big city. Either that or you make really good money. By what metric is Canada doing well? By any International ranking of countries with socialized medicine, we are last or close to it in nearly every category, including wait times, people dying on waitlist, doctors, per capita, amount of time it takes to get a diagnosis, etc. plus we pay the most per capita to get the least results. In the bigger cities like Vancouver, even if you make $100,000 a year you cannot afford the rent on a one bedroom apartment if you use the traditional metric that says the roof over your head should be less than 1/3 of your net pay. Crime and homelessness is way up. By what metric is Canada doing well? GDP per capita has been falling since 2015. Again, by what metric is Canada doing well?

It's amazing how different a perspective you can get by actually learning about the subject instead of relying on headlines. How this guy can possibly be considered "controversial" is beyond me. Agree with him 100% at all times? No, but that's the beauty of life. Anyone who would actually protest this man simply hasn't taken the time to look into him.

@walesruels don't get me wrong, Jordan Peterson is very popular here but very polarizing. There are a shocking number of people that can't stand him and again, they literally never ever have anything specific they can point to.

It's a real issue. Doesn't matter what the thing is (you're female, you're short, you're black, you're very ugly, you're very whatever) it's always on your mind. You'll usually wonder if that thing is the reason things didn't work out, regardless if it had an impact or not. It's so hard to tell when it did have an impact and when it didn't.

15:30. A very complex topic mic dropped with one sentence. Holy shit, I just took that Harvard bias test online and it's set up to make you "fail". Fuck me is it ever set up to try to get to a particular result. It's brutal. It's a series of tests that are awkard to do, but as you do them it gets easier. That means at the beginning you're more likely to screw up, and screwing up early gives the "you are biased against fat people" result, just as they want. It's the only one I've gone through thus far but it's awful. I just lost a bit of respect for Harvard.

Even as a child, I never understood multiculturalism. How can highlighting people's differences create better outcomes? It made so much more sense to me hearing the American propaganda of "you're not black or brown or white, you're an American." We've taken it so far now that there are people that get upset if you so much as cook food or wear clothes not from your own culture FFS. (With the obvious exception of everybody being allowed to utilize anything created by white people.)

jj is right. Do not lie. You don't necessarily have to tell the whole truth (that can get you fired etc) but do not lie. Do not tow the party line if it doesn't align with what's in your heart. Do not pretend you agree with things you don't. Be kind, be diplomatic, be empathetic, but be honest. It's unreal how many people I talk to that think what's going on is totally fucked. I make little comments in public all the time and I've never ever had someone push back. Ever, and I'm small and unassuming so it's not like they're afraid of me. Some stay silent, and perhaps they disagree or maybe they're just not talkative, most verbally totally agree and seem happy to have a kindred spirit. Most people are not on board with this shit. Again, be nice to everyone, and you don't need to make waves, but don't lie. It's okay to say you have some reservations about what's going on. If you are in a room full of people and you question things, even a tiny bit, I GUARANTEE there are others who feel the same. That's what we need to embolden people to speak their truth. This goes both ways. If you disagree with some of the things the other side says, that's okay too. Don't lie to either side because that's lying to yourself. Lying is lying to yourself and that'll make you feel worse than being yelled at, I assure you. You can't shower off the gross feeling of when you tell someone what they want to hear, even if you think it's actually harmful.

@ilyaibrahimovic9842 "I need to know why I'm doing it" I can't speak for you, but for me it's because I feel so gross when I fake it and contribute to the thing I hate so much. It's a way worse feeling than not getting the job, or not being accepted. It's corny as shit, but I'd rather be hated for what I am than loved for what I'm not, especially if I believe it's truly harmful. There's something to be said for being at peace with yourself. You know when you aren't and it eats away at you. You need to learn what brings you inner peace and head in that direction come hell or high water because if you're fucked either way, at least you won't hate your reflection.

I'm in construction and was just in a high school classroom, an economics classroom of all things, and it was absolutely filled with far left ideas in posters on the walls and I was horrified to see proof of all of these bogeyman stories I've been hearing online from libertarians and the centre right and far right. They were bang on correct.

I'm so happy you aren't giving them an inch. Now, to be clear, if there is an inch to be given, then you should do it. Never stand your ground for ideological reasons, other than wanting to stick to strict objectivity. This is absolute madness though. I'm thrilled. You're standing your ground and not trying to play nice. If they had allegations against you about stuff, you may have done in private, then I would not have the firm conviction that I do. But their allegations are about what I can see and hear so it's very obvious that they are nonsense. From the beginning, I thought that you should go along with this, and that you should make every aspect completely transparent and public. Have a recording device in the room with you at all times. Every single second of this should be exposed.

@boazmunro478 Thanks for giving me insight into your upbringing. Were you in Israel? I lived in Toronto as a youth and went to school with many Jews. They were all the most wealthy kids in class. The stereotype wasn't for no reason, haha. Everyone at my school got a long though.

I'm Canadian and it's amazing how many people hate his guts here. The Woke crowd thinks he's the devil, yet they can never, and I mean never, come up with an actual quote from him to dispute. They always rally against things they misunderstand about what he's said. They hear other people misrepresent him and then they quote those people verbatim and attribute it to Peterson. It's so gross.

16:48. So far I've agreed with everything you said but saying that it might be impossible to have a sustainable vegetarian diet for everyone is, pardon the pun, bananas. I would love to see your evidence to support that claim. I know both sides of this argument fairly well and even though I'm a long time vegetarian I understand that a lot of the food they get fed was not fit for human consumption and that a lot of times the animals graze on land that would not be suitable for regular farming. My head is not in the sand about this. Again, I would love to see your evidence to support the claim that it is borderline impossible for everyone to eat a vegetarian diet.

Brains like his don't reach a point where they think "well I'm done now. I have arrived". The brain that got you there is the one that keeps you going, and it is eternally curious. It's like the fundamental misunderstanding people have about soldiers. Some people want soldiers to come back and live a life of luxury and sloth. They don't want that. They are the type of people who wanna serve and be doing something that they find meaningful. They would be happier helping people right after a tornado hit because that's how they are hardwired.

You are forced to do things for the benefit of others. Right or wrong, that's exploitation. Other people forcing you to do things to benefit them is exploitation. Is the literal definition, in fact. And of course communism isn't the inevitable future of humanity. Stop being so obtuse. No one has even come close to doing it because it's not possible. How this cannot get through peoples thick skulls is beyond me. No amount of evidence will sway them. If communism is so great and benefits everyone, why has it never even come close to being implemented? Because it goes completely against human nature and even the most basic forms of logic and reason. With even a modicum of scrutiny at falls apart almost immediately, the ideology I mean.

@grimyc73 I've read the manifesto and it's unbelievably vague except for the part where it says violence is acceptable to achieve those goals. Then you have to ask: who defines what "from each according to his ability, to each according to his work." really means, and who decides in the real world? Whomever decides is in power and the whole thing implodes. Same as it always has, same as it always will. Human nature is undefeated.

Best case scenario is that this finally exposes to the masses what’s going on. Probably not though because main stream media will twist the reporting. Never in my life did I think that objective fact could be disputed, and that freedom of speech would be considered dangerous.

That is sad as way too much of a blanket statement. The vast majority of the climate crusaders honestly believe that it is the right thing to do and that everybody will be better off for it. I don't doubt their motivations, just their conclusions.

@TimSlee1 I agree. Perhaps I was taking the statement too literally. The poor being destroyed by Covid showed very clearly. The poorest of the poor overseas didn't have the western safety nets, and even in north america the poor were hurt the most. Now with the fertilizer thing they're directly going after "food security" and it's absolutely unconscionable. What's scary is there's gonna be a reaction and the far right is going to rise and it won't be pretty. These elitist leftists are playing with fire but they have the money so they can't get burned. It's so gross.

This interview didn’t backfire at all. He allowed Benjamin to state his case and Jordan didn’t offer up his opinion one way or the other as far as I can tell. I don’t think it is incumbent upon the interviewer to make sure they go through every tough question and all of that. They’re certainly welcome to but I don’t think it’s an obligation at all. A man came on the podcast who wanted to state his case and that’s what happened. People only seem to complain about the hands off approach of an interviewer if they disagree with who’s being interviewed.

I think I have no "right" to anything I didn't personally achieve, but that's just my opinion. You feel differently. You feel like things that your ancestors did entitle you to something today. Most neighbourhoods are pretty homogenous. People stick with their own so the culture is dying. There is no culture of assimilation. If you have a whole bunch of fragmented cultures that stick to their own, then there is no overarching culture, which means by definition it's ruinous to the culture of that country.

The theory behind it is irrelevant compared to the real reality of the actual real world outcomes. And the outcome is not surprising. People are tribal and always have been. It's not a coincidence that there are cities in Toronto and Vancouver that are almost exclusively Indian, and you have Richmond, which is almost exclusively Asian. And within the cities you get enclaves as well. The Eastern Europeans come here and find the nearest cultural centre where they can find people from their home country and they more or less stick to that. It's a very bad thing. It's also very disrespectful to the new country. If I move to another country, I can't imagine just sticking to my fellow ex pats, and other people who happen to look like me. I would try to fit in, language included. It's extremely rare that I hear English being spoken in public now. At least where I live. Where I work as well. I can't see a rational argument where that boats well in the long-term. Most people speak the language of their homeland and stick to their own kind. Perhaps you think that is a good thing, but I do not.

I enjoy being in the trades. We are much more tolerant here. If you have a completely different opinion, somebody might tell you you are an f’ing idiot, but it would never even cross their mind to tell you you can’t see what you’re saying. I would not be able to live with myself if I had to bow down and say things I didn’t believe. I bowed down to get the first vaccine last time or else I would be unemployed, but I’m not doing it again. If they try that again, I guess I’m out of a job. Where I 100% draw the line is, I will never utter words I don’t believe, in so far as telling people that I believe in a narrative when I don’t. Of course I will tell a little white lie to not hurt somebody’s feelings, but I won’t lie about anything that truly matters. Telling grandma you enjoyed her cookies that tasted like cardboard doesn’t make you feel gross at night when you’re all alone with your thoughts.

@ilyaibrahimovic9842 I say just remain humble in your opinions and express them as such. Always be open to the fact that your mind will change if you get better information. Sometimes things come out wrong like you say, and in that case if you are humble about your opinions, hopefully people will see that and calmly explain another perspective. Then counter with how you can see how they'd interpret you like that and you'd like to clarify. That won't please everyone, but some people cannot be pleased, and literally no amount of evidence will ever get them to change their mind so don't even engage. Once you realize you're dealing with an ideologue, just politely end the conversation and walk away. Not worth the effort. Fuck trying to please everyone. Unless it's your asshole boss and you need to keep your job until you find another one and you're actively looking, fuck 'em. Don't waste your time.

The goal is to listen to that gut feeling when it tells you that perhaps you've gone too far, and it sounds like you have that voice so you are a step up on many, many, many people.

It's just math. I don't see pointing that out as being woke. I think you're concerned a bit too much by the Let Them Eat Cake thing. Make no mistake, pretty much every friggen government policy benefits the rich. That's just how it is. Trump is not worried about his next meal so he doesn't put that as high on his agenda as the millions of people who are food insecure, thus I think it's an apt phrasing. Small town Saskatchewan farming communities now have people of food assistance. That was inconceivable until very recently. If the concept of leftists and woke were never a thing, I don't think you'd be so upset about what he is saying. It's a rich dude saying he's worried about how the working man will pay the bills. That's not a far leftist university communist position at all. He's not saying we need men in women's sports, he's not saying DEI is great at combating white supremacy, he's saying the tariffs will cause daily necessities to up in price and he is right.

The sad part is that people will see that this is on the daily wire and involves these two and they will not listen to the actual words being said. I would love to hear somebody debate this and give specifics because you’ll notice that the alarmist crowd never does. They resort to insults and name-calling when you point out the extreme inefficiency and illogical nature of what they are currently doing. They simply refuse to accept that these two are on the same side as the people who hate them. Everybody wants a cleaner planet. This is on the daily wire so they will just say that it’s conservative nonsense. The fact that these two are on a conservative channel talking about the best ways to clean up the planet should give them hope, not anger. I’m 100% convinced that those people don’t actually care about the end result nearly as much as they care about the fight in and of itself. They actually enjoy the fight and confrontation and it’s a sickness. There’s no other rational explanation.

Two interactive tools on unconscious bias training will also be provided to JAC members. "Find the Right Fit Using an Objective Eye," an interactive training tool on unconscious bias, will be provided to JAC members through the Canada School of Public Service." And they make a point of making 50% judges as well, as opposed to 100% of the most competent regardless of genitalia.
