@James-sk4db Are you sure that's the message though? You seem to have articulated one of the few advantages of massive companies creating absurdly high barriers to entry in order to make billions. If we get safer planes out of it, is it really that bad? This seems like a win-win.

@EgnachHelton "grabbed by share holders who DON'T WORK AT ALL." A large percentage of big corporate shareholders are either working individuals, or pension funds. Pension and mutual funds pretty much drive the stock market. The amount of people who live off of completely passive stock market gains is negligible at bests. Those funds are made up of the retirement payments of unionized teachers and firefighters etc. Most of the stock market money is the "little guy" so when the little guys shits on the market and big companies, they're shitting on their own retirement savings.

@S1191669 Amen. People need to understand how pension funds and mutual funds work before they spout off. And that's before even starting with individual investors. The amount of people who don't work at all and just live off of large corporate dividends or capital gains on stocks is extremely, extremely low.
