  1. The video has a couple interesting points, but overall it's cherrypickingly cringeworthy indeed. Back in the day there were monster hit making writer/producers, and there were just as many goofy songs with corny, repeating lyrics. This guy needs to look up Sugar Sugar by The Archies. 1969. Tell me those lyrics are any better than today. Bubblegum pop has been around since the mid 20th century, boy bands have been around since then, and people got their musical tastes from the radio mostly, not because they randomly took a chance on some album at the store. That part drove me nuts. This video is poorly thought out.
