But I didn't understand it because even the clip she played did not at all sound like she was defending anything about him. As the clip went on, I thought it was gonna get to the part that sounded bad, but it never came. I want somebody to tell me what she said that even sounded like she was defending Hitler. She sounded like she was dissecting. What the word nationalism means in the context of what Hitler was doing. That's not praise nor condemnation. That's just objective reasoning.

FYI, Jim Jeffries didn't go away. He's doing large venues all over the world. I get really irritated when people claim so and so was "ended" by this or that when it isn't true in the slightest. He's making serious bank all over the world in 2024 and 2025. He's a woke unscrupulous jagoff, but he's certainly not ruined. C'mon man, googling that took me 12 seconds.

They've been elected 3 times in a row. I have yet to talk to one single person who voted for them at any stage who actually read their party platform. In Canada, every major political party posts their party platform on their website before the election. I had one hard-core liberal supporter who actually got angry at me when I asked her if she read the party platforms and she said she doesn't have time for that. It'll take you a couple of hours once every four years. She won't even do that yet gets indignant about her political beliefs.

@ to each their own but I disagree. Jim is one of those rare people who likes to say awful and controversial things, yet still will tow the party line with this work stuff. Give me another reason he would do something shady to Jordan Peterson? I’ve never seen anybody go after him that wasn’t woke.

@ I wish I could remember what Jim said that was woke. I just know that I was a big fan before (I've paid to see him in the past) but he's made comments that make me go "Oh, he's now turning into the type of person who will go on Colbert and tow the party line" type deal. Maybe woke is the wrong word (I have a vague recollection of him saying some pretty woke stuff when I came to trans people though, but I could be mistaken). Maybe it's that he's going along with The Machine more and more. Bill Burr is doing it at a much worse level lately. Seems that many people achieve a certain level of success and fall in line with the dominant ideology of the time. Jimmy Kimmel is a great (though extreme) example. It's a free country so he can have at it, but all I'm saying is his tone has changed and it's certainly not anti-establishment. I wish I could remember specifics, but I get inundated with so many videos and content that at all blends together to a degree. Nothing against him personally, it's just disappointing to me as a former fan. That's just one man's opinion. Cheers.

@FollowJJWhiteheadComedy for the record, I definitely empathize with you putting something out there that doesn't end up either appearing, or being perceived as you'd intended. I always try to leave that little door open for benefit of the doubt.

The goofiest one about the colonizer talk is that comes from all the people who are all for the open borders policies in Canada and America. They are OK with people from different nationalities coming here and changing the culture and demographics and power dynamics. I thought they had a word for that..

@gildehausgaming With liberals it's even stranger. You'll find some really reasonable, intelligent observations and some really, really, really stupid ones that defy any and all logic if you think about them even the slightest bit.

@docsavage8640 "actually you do. Pretending to know how others feel is a bad thing." You are explicitly stating that sympathy is a bad thing. I disagree. I don't think that empathy is the only thing you are allowed to feel for another's suffering.

Hopefully someone will do a deep dive and see how many instances are investigated and how many fines there are based on left vs right complaints.
