This is on Vice?! I'm blown away. This was an incredibly well put together video. It gave a pretty good summary of the issue, and gave all sides a chance to voice their opinions, and the interviewer pressed people on their answers. Vice, if you guys always put out stuff of this quality you'd be lauded instead of laughed at by anyone with any sense of objectivity. This is journalism, not clickbait nonsense. Not even the title has an ounce of clickbait in it. If this was what all of your content was like I'd watch all the time. Kudos to all involved. I'm very happy to be able to upvote a Vice video that's not about science.

I was just involved in a renovation in Canadian high school so I got to go into classrooms and see what's on the walls and what's on the walls of the hallways and it blew my mind. Of course, there was stuff about how white males have all the privilege, even though the school is 80% Indian. There were things on the walls like "You are more than your sexual identity", which is an argument nobody is claiming. Somebody who hates trans people with a passion, understands that they are more than just their sexual identity. They are desperate for bogeyman. It was absolutely pathetic and made me lose. What little respect I had for the education system.

The craziest part is that all of this was because he said that you shouldn't treat people differently because of their race. That's literally all he said, and he got branded a person who is inciting Nazis all over America to kill black gay trans people. That was said by one of the most privileged people on this earth. The amount of people worldwide that would give anything to go to a liberal American College is beyond belief.

@hendrixfirstone8975 . traditionally that college had one day a year when Black people, and then all people of colour could voluntarily be absent from school in a showing of how their absence makes you realize what they contribute. This one year they decided to change it so that the people of colour could go to school but white people couldn't. And if you want to know how pervasive this absolute nonsense garbage is, I am speaking this into my MacBook Pro and black was capitalized and white was not. Only if I refer to race though. If I say Black people it is capitalized but if I say white people it is not.

Thankfully for him, it turns out he is thriving after this debacle. Gotta thank Joe Rogan for that one. For most people it could spell the end of them.

It's not a matter of manpower. The kid was on the only friggen roof. This wasn't one of 14. They had zero law enforcement up on that roof.

5 years on and he's the same guy. You can watch him and his wife (also a former professor at that college) on the DarkHorse podcast on YouTube. Not a single one of his former students attacked him. Not one. It was entirely done by people he'd never met.

As you said, he was a dyed in the wool leftie. I promise you FOX was not his first option. He's stated many times that the ones who wanted him on were almost exclusively conservative, which is why it's so incredible Vice did this great piece on him. 5 years on and he's still the same guy. He didn't go all right wing.

What's crazy is how well done this video is. Vice did an absolute bang up job here. I wish they could be like this always.

Imagine yelling at the head of your college and threatening him. Now imagine doing that and not only not getting in trouble, but having him go on the record as saying he was cool with it.

@jomclaughlin1999 In Canada if you say "Indian" it almost always means from India. The term Indian for native got phased out 20 years ago or so.

"I wonder how these kids will react when they encounter the real world." There are so many of these misguided kids that they make up real numbers in the real world now. My friend just had to spend big bucks to renovate bathrooms at his work to be "gender neutral". They renovated the handicapped/family washrooms.......which have always been gender neutral.
