5:44 Did you seriously say that the American Dream is dead in America? How has nobody called out this really stupid statement yet?

10:10 This is how Trump is a great negotiator. He plays that crazy card all the time. He'll threaten to do something super drastic as a bargaining tactic and it works because he's nutty enough to follow through on his threats.

@acrobatsutr Oh FFS, the problem is not the Chinese. It's so intellectually lazy to blame "them goddanged foreigners" for all your own problems. One, if it really was the Chinese then its STILL the fault of local government for allowing it to happen and two, uh....it's not the goddman Chinese people's fault. The government takes in 26% of the cost of a new home in Vancouver. That's about a 1/4 million bucks to the government. Whole houses in other areas cost that. The local greedy, idiotic governments raise costs and also delay building permits and densification etc. More people move to the west than are moving away from it and that's just basic demographics. More people + same supply = higher prices. It's the government's fault for not accommodating the demand. It's lazy and pathetic to blame people with money for your own lack of it. It's probably also why you don't have any money.

@acrobatsutr Unless you have a physical or mental disability, it's on you to provide for yourself and there aren't "LITERAL" barriers.. It's not the city's fault you don't make enough money. The world owes you nothing. Too expensive? Leave. I've done it multiple times looking for work because that's just reality. I've worked for minimum wage and split the rent on a 1br and had my hours cut. It sucks balls to get out of, but the only people who can't are the ones who have children or do other things that they shouldn't, and then expect the world to cater to them. It's arrogant and selfish behaviour to expect the world to revolve around you. Too expensive? Leave. There are always areas where workers are needed.

Yeah America sucks to bad that everyone wants to go there to be educated and to live. What an awful place it must be.

Your cover letter matters more than your grades. People want competency and social skills, not the best grades. All that shows is you know how to study.

@cancerino666 Rents in Vancouver are going crazy because of basic demographics. More people are coming (and staying) than new places are being built, and a new build has 26% of its cost going to the fucking government. It's the government's fault. Don't take my word for the 26%, look it up. About $250,000 goes to the government to build a new house here whereas you can get whole houses for that elsewhere. Fuck the municipal government. The problem is local, not international.

Did you honestly try to assimilate or did you only hang out with Chinese people? The biggest problem is people come here and pretend they are still back home and they isolate themselves. All around me are foreign families who don't seem the least bit interested in trying to become part of the community and culture here so fuck 'em! It's disrespectful to move somewhere and not try to fit in. I'm not saying this is you at all, I'm just talking about what I see so often.

@MrJakeFan Are you equating America's imperfect system with China's? Hell now. America is paradise in comparison.
