I buy all the bluray versions of the BBC nature docs. They don't come in a digital version so I barely watch them because I like to go from my laptop in the kitchen while cooking, to the tv when eating. I can't do this with a disc unless I can start it on a YouTube or pirated version for the kitchen. It's very frustrating. I probably own 50 DVD's I've never even opened for this same reason.

"Proudly"? Most companies do whatever they can for profits. You'd have to avoid damn near every big corporation to avoid this, so what you are doing is essentially the same as a teenager hating on a band because the band blew up. You're doing it for some sort of virtue signalling.

@TheFrogInYourClosetWatchingYou Yeah they need dots that only turn red under full water exposure. If that's not possible, then get rid of the dots. I had a cell phone back in the day they claimed had water damage, but I'm the only one who used it and for 100% sure it was not exposed to water. I did live in a temperate rainforest though (Vancouver). I was pissed.

I used to love Apple, now I just like the products. Sorta. They have a monopoly. Only Apple can make Apple products and they are the only alternative to PC's which are wildly different. That's a monopoly. If Apple says fuck you, then fuck you it is and there's not thing one you can do about it because there's no other viable Windows alternative. That's a monopoly. Well it's a duopoly but so different they are basically two monopolies. The funny part is this rant is on a Google property which is even worse as a company. Way worse. I'm so glad Ricky Gervais called out Apple and celebrities right in front of Tim Cook. I'm all for businesses doing what they can to make money, but it's stuff like asking for addresses of repair customers that gets me. For a 2011 laptop? None of your goddamn business.

This is the problem I had with Justin Trudeau and the Canadian Covid trucker convoy. Even if the Prime Minister was correct, and every single person in the protest was a Nazi, bigot, homophobe, sexist pig, that literally had nothing to do with why they were there or why they should or shouldn't be interacted with.

You loved the way he refused money because he was butthurt?

I don't agree with Louis, and quite frankly think he sounds entitled and petulant but I like him. It's people like him that make companies improve their services and in the end his efforts, and the efforts of others like him make things better for the consumer.

How that's not illegal is beyond me. Innocent until proven guilty, anyone?

@theodis8134 Try refusing someone because you don't like their lifestyle, or race etc. The company would get crucified. Diversity of though? Heaven forbid! Must be stamped out at all costs!

Fruit is delicious.

It's not that simple. It's not like "Don't drive a Ford. Get a GM". Leaving Apple means going to a user experience you can't stand, all day every day. If you really don't like Windows, you're stuck. Even if you do leave, it's a process and a pain in the ass so it's not as simple as just "It's your fault, stupid"

Why can’t the free market solve this? I won’t buy an HP now that I know, but I still don’t think we need the courts involved in this.
